ES-335 CONVERSION

Near mint 1978 ES-335...Owner said strip it!

Wine Red finish...hopefully I can get most of the red out of the maple.

Here we go...parts removal.

3 piece maple neck...really holds the color! Also, lets get rid of that 70's volute.

Ironing the board...right off of there!

Setting up for drilling the stud holes.

Virgin rosewood fingerboard...

...now with binding and dots...cool!

Plugging the ugly coil-tap hole.

Good ol' jute holds down the new board.

Hanging out at the spray booth.

Several weeks later and a good buffing...

...she looks real glassy.

A bunch of new parts to make it a nice "dot" clone.
