1953 Les Paul "Top" Restoration
A very old Cherry refin...
...stud tail conversion too.
As soon as I started sanding this stuff off, it would turn to a rubber like substance...some kind of poly.
Plugging the holes with maple.
Original gold in them there pickup cavities!
Ready for paint.
In the booth.
Lots of wet sanding.
Ready for the hardware. The original pickups needed new hookup wire.
All for only $29.95...sic
Replaced the non-original junk pots, wire and caps with some better stuff.
Ready to go home.
