~ 2010 ~ 2009 ~ 2008 ~ The Building ~
Starting in April of 2006 and through December of 2007, we had been very busy restoring the old building, known to many as "The Corner Show Store" here at
the corner of Main and Spring in Tupelo, Mississippi. The building was built in 1890, so we're talking
about a 117 year old structure which needed a lot of
attention. The first eight months was purely demolition; get it down to the bare brick, original floor and ceiling. Then start rebuilding everything.
Over the next few years this process will continue. The entire building will transformed inside and out. Upstairs will be the all-encompassing workshop area.
Once the workshop is moved upstairs the store will expand throughout the downstairs and incorporate a bit of retail. For example: Strings, Picks, Cables,
Straps, maybe a guitar stand... things of that nature. Never will we be a dealer of new guitars and the like. We are Vintage and Used exclusively.

• The Molotov Cocktail Incident ~ August 2007 •
It was 4 a.m. and Joe Good Samaritan had just left the Quicky Mart with a Big Gulp.
On his way to go fishing, as he passed our newly finished store front he noticed flames.
Stopping and with no regard for his thirst, poured his oversized beverage onto the flames extinguishing the threat.
Our window had to be replaced and wood redone and painted = $$$$.
Two beer bottles, filled with lighter fluid, were thrown at Benjamin's, we suspect, and one hit us.
Victim Of Circumstance and/or Proximity.
We'll never know if the Molotov Cocktails were meant for us or Benjamin's.
No one was ever caught for this act of considerable vandalism.
It was considered to be attempted arson which is a Federal Offense!
